So I’m leaving tomorrow (!) for a two-month artist residency in Banff. It’s my first.

(For those not in the know, Banff is a small touristy town in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. The Banff Centre, where I will be, is basically some kind of chi-chi artist compound just outside the city whose social life is kind of like Vegas — what happens in Banff stays in Banff. Or so I’ve been told — I’ve never been).

All this to say that, while I plan to keep up the Lurking drawings while I’m there (it fits rather nicely with my proposed residency project, actually), I’m anticipating a bit of a slow-down in Lurking productivity, what with the lectures and presentations and various…uh…happenings that will be staying in Banff. Oh and art-making, presumably.

OK. I’m now going to do the zillion little preparatory things that I’ve been procrastinating doing.
